We have been in contact with our local, state, and federal authorities regarding COVID-19. Our top priority is the health, safety, and comfort of our patrons and staff, which is why we have implemented several new cleaning and operations protocols to ensure that our patrons and staff are safe. Additionally, we are very lucky here at the UCPAC because our Main Stage theater, which dates back to 1928, has a clean air air conditioner, meaning the air in our theater is not recycled air which greatly reduces the chance of Covid-19 particles spreading through the air.

Precautions that we have taken to mitigate any Covid-19 risk to our staff, performers, and patrons include:

  • Reducing our building capacity even below the guidelines set by Governor Murphy

  • Mandating masks for all staff and patrons

  • Providing hand sanitizers in key areas and by entrances/exits

  • Stocking face masks for patrons who forget, misplace, and/or break their own

  • Taking temperatures for all indoor events and denying entry to any persons with a temperature of 100.4 or more

  • Contactless ticketing

  • Reduced sale of concessions

  • Socially distanced seating for all shows including general admission shows

  • Removal of intermission as well as opening the house at the same time as the lobby to reduce crowding in the lobby

  • Increasing the house lights for better visibility and therefor less chance of accidental contact

  • Prohibiting backpacks and large purses

  • Enhanced and more frequent cleaning and sanitzation of our spaces with special focus paid to high touch areas

What can we all do to minimize the risk and ensure the safety of ourselves and others?

  • Wash and sanitize your hands regularly with antibacterial soap.

  • Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.

  • Avoid touching your face; especially your nose, mouth, and eyes.

  • Do not attend a performance if you are not feeling well and/or are exhibiting symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath.

  • Stay informed, visit the World Health Organziations Website, HERE.

Patrons who are not feeling well and/or are exhibiting symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath are strongly encouraged to not attend our programs and should call the Box Office prior to the even date/time at 732-499-8226 during normal operating hours to discuss options.
